Because eating disorders are funny

H1anorexia_2 I love Halloween, the candy, the costumes, the creepy movies... did I mention the candy?

So it always breaks my heart when my all-time favourite holiday gets mired down with tasteless junk like this: The Miss Anorexia costume.

There really is nothing more hilarious than young girls starving themselves to fit into unrealistic beauty standards.

The obesity epidemic.
The anorexia epidemic.
Fat is bad.
Skinny is bad.
Perfect is good.
Let's keep up the pressure.

Anorexia is a tree in a much larger forest. The forest is unhealthy lifestyle choices. It's a genderless issue. It's a human issue. Some need to step back from their feminist myopia and look at the larger picture.

And, of course, those breasts are exactly what you'd expect to find on someone devoid of fat anywhere else on their body . . . (the ellipses are meant to make you picture me rolling my eyes.)

I am close friends with a stripper who had breasts the size of the woman in the illustration and she also was devoid of fat everywhere else on her body. Oh, btw, the stripper's breasts were natural. For the 5 years of shaking them, she earned far more money that I ever have.

And you roll your eyes for what purpose? Perhaps a grammatical ditzy-flip of the hair followed by flared nostrils will get your message across.
