Tonsillitis no match for Hurricane Layne

It's Friday night, and Layne is talking herself to sleep.

That's not abnormal, seeing as she talks constantly, and sometimes even after she's gone to sleep.

But tonight, the poor thing has tonsillitis. She just doesn't know it.

When Amy called me at work this afternoon, after an hour or two at the Walk-in Clinic, to tell me that Layne's unexplained rash had now been explained, I figured the Hurricane would be down and out for a day or two. But when I walked in the door tonight, she was her excited, loud, screaming, yelling, laughing, self -- oblivious to the disease that is hanging around her throat.

I figure, if I knew I had tonsillitis, I'd a) be milking it for all it's worth; or b) crying my eyes out.

But not Laynie. She just keeps proving that girls are tougher than boys, even when they're 15 months old.

And in a few minutes, she'll be sleeping like this:

Does every baby sleep like that? I can recall both of my kids in that adorable position.

Love the pics in the more recent post, as well. She's adorable, as always.
