A great month
I've always liked November. It's a great month.
The weather is cold, but not too cold. The leaves have fallen, but they're still on the ground to jump around in. We've got all that hard earned Halloween candy to gorge ourselves on.
Hockey season is well underway in November, and baseball fans have the fresh memories of another Fall Classic to enjoy. The Canadian Football League awards the oldest trophy in pro sports, the Grey Cup, in November, and my parents always mark the occasion with a party.
In November, we take a day to remember the contributions and sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have fought and died for our country and for the world.
There are no re-runs in November. All your favorite shows are back on the air and entertaining you. And while the summer movie season is long over, the industry usually recovers from its September/October slump to knock out some November hits. This November we've got the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, to look forward to!
But of course, the best thing about November is my birthday. Every year on November 29, at exactly 6:33 p.m., my family, nay, the world, stops to honor the birth of a true Superman. Me!
That's why November is a great month.
